It’s a pretty crazy time right now, an unprecedented time that we’re all experiencing together, the entire world, every person, which means, every artist too.

Like most, I’ve been on a roller coaster, up and down. It’s such a surreal feeling. Some moments hit you and you’re like, Is this REALLY happening?!

Kinda like waking up to a bad dream each morning realizing it’s not a dream, it’s a new reality. I’ve not wanted to even get out of bed some days....

It was in church, on Sunday mornings in Sunday School, that I first came to know the sound of my own voice.
The first song we usually learn in Sunday School is the traditional:
'Jesus Loves Me'.

It's a simple yet meaningful song that can serve almost as a mantra and reminder for us throughout our daily lives. We are never alone, He is always with us and loves us.

This piece has always had very significant meaning for my family, most specifically m...

Most of you know I’m always on the hunt for heart shapes! Yesterday I sat watching some clouds overhead and I was not the least bit surprised to see this little heart cloud bust itself away from the larger cloud mass.

So, call it cheesy, this awesome, fluffy metaphor presented itself to me while doing some deep thinking. ♥️ When we follow our hearts we separate ourselves from the masses in our own unique way, in a way that’s honouring our inner voice...

I hesitated in posting this because sometimes I think, who wants to hear this. But I personally always need to hear it, so maybe there are some of you who will benefit in hearing this from me.

Believe me when I say, I sing and I create in order to keep going, to stay afloat. A sort of serial artist.

This photograph, taken while I was performing, also felt like a moment of silent prayer for me.

I’ve always used music to pour all of my ‘stuff’ into (pain...

Some New Years ‘cheesieness’ to go with your champagne! ;)

This 2019 version of Tonia cried the most this year of any! I’m talkin’ ugly crying along much of the way. It was, by far, my most successful year as a singer and new author, but it also yielded the most growing pains and tears of ‘Can I really do this?’. While I’m incredibly grateful for the immense blessings, opportunities and new friendships that 2019 brought me, it came with intense overw...

A cascading series of events came together to irrevocably link me with renowned 19th Century Newfoundland-born opera star Georgina Stirling (1867-1935), who performed under the stage name Marie Toulinguet, and had great international success. Our cosmic union has resulted in this gorgeous and undeniably haunting pop/classical crossover new single, "Marie," now available for digital download.

Written by late Newfoundland folk hero Ron Hynes about Sti...

Hi Everyone!

This is so exciting, my FIRST dance hit video! And how it came to life is so cool! You just never know how and when you're going to meet awesome like-minded people that will become part of your journey through life!

On the way home from my performance at the Miami Ball this past November we had an Uber driver who turned out to be a talented musician and producer. We were super hungry and had a craving for McDonalnds. LOL! I asked Juan...

A heartfelt & emotional throwback. This young man, at only 34, changed the entire direction of my life. My late uncle Brian wasn't even a singer but was very educated and passionate when it came to opera. While he was alive it was his mission to instill his passion for opera in me. I casually sang some silly little song for him one day and he jumped up and said: Honey, you have a voice made for opera! Thus began the seasons tickets at the COC, buyin...

Dear family, friends & artists,

Over 100 family and friends were present at my Red Carpet private concert last summer. Everyone showed up with so much love and support to make it such a meaningful night for me.  That night ended up being a catalyst that literally set off a domino effect of performance opportunities, new friendships, and creative endeavors. That concert was all about embracing exactly where I am on my musical journey, creating my own...
